 NOTICE OF MEETING

 

the 58th ANNUAL GENERAL MEETING

of Porirua Club members

will be held at The Porirua Club, Lodge Place, Porirua

on Wednesday 18th September 2023 commencing at 6.00pm.

 

BUSINESS:

  1. To confirm the Minutes of the 56th Annual General Meeting held on 20th September 2023.
  2. To receive, and if thought fit, to adopt the Report of the President for the year ended 31st May 2024.
  3. To receive and, if thought fit, to adopt the Statement of Accounts for the year ended 31st May 2024.
  4. To consider such other business as may be properly brought forward.


NOMINATIONS and VOTING 


  • Nominations for life membership as per rule 3.1.2 open on Thursday August 1st, close on Friday, August 23rd, 2024.
  • The Annual Report to be published & hard copy available from the 2nd of September 2024
  • Nominations for positions of
  • President,
  • Vice President (2 positions) and the
  • Committee (2 positions)
  • Open on Thursday August 1st, close on Friday, August 23rd, 2024


  • Absentee (Special) Votes open 9th Sept until 5.00pm, 17th – September 2024.


  • Election for positions of President, Vice Presidents (2positions) and the Committee (2positions) open at the conclusion of the AGM 18th September 2024 until end of business on the 21st of September 2024.

LIFE MEMBER NOMINATIONS

Life Membership may be granted to any member for meritorious service rendered to, or, on behalf of the club, providing Life Members do not exceed 1% of the total of the Clubs Membership and has the majority support of the Committee.


The club may elect a member recommended by the Committee to Life Membership by a majority of at least Three fourths (3/4) of the votes cast by those who are eligible to do so at the Annual General Meeting.
